I figured Saban wanted to make this a statement game to hide any distraction with Kiffen. Even in losing Kiffen he wants to be in control, he was having a meltdown in the first half when it was close. I figured 56-3 but UF scored more than I thought they would.
This morning I was told if Kiffen gets job, he's out. They're not going to keep him around like they did Smart. Someone at coffee told me that and not sure where they heard it. Maybe it's out and common knowledge and I'm just late to the party.
Kiffin said he would coach thru the cfp if they let him. Pretty sure Saban boots him out if it's for lsu and let's him finish the season if it's to be HC at Houston. The bullshit praise coming out of Sabans mouth for Kiffin is transparent he's trying his best not to give lsu an advantage.
Saban doing his best lobbying for Kiffen at Houston. Quoted as saying he is trying to help him get the job. He will have a melt down if we get Kiffen. I know he has others and Bama will be fine without him, but just the fact that we might gain some ground on them will drive Nick crazy.
Kiffen ain't coming to LSU. He'll either get the HC vacancy at Houston or some other school, but he ain't leaving Bama for LSU. Orgeron isn't getting Bama's QB recruit Tua either, and with the loss of Brennan, we're going to be light at that position. Add in the big Louisiana LB recruit that committed to Bama and I'd say LSU football is off to a tremendous start under O.
If Kiffen's not coming who else is on the radar? It's being played pretty close to the vest as there are no names being thrown around. Somebody knows something we don't because 2 mil/yr for an assistant should have them beating down the door to get that job. Either it's a done deal or O has no clue what he is doing! And if the latter is the case then JA and the board got played and made us the laughing stock of college football. Those details should have been chiseled in stone before Alleva announced O as coach.
