he was actually a big time recruit. just not as good when he was a freshman and sophomore. :thumb: by this theory, why not take a chance on any recruit then?
If you recruit the kid for what you think his dad will bring to the table, you really aren't being fair to the kid. He already is walking around in some pretty big shoes, he needs a chance to be his own man. Also If he isn't good enough to be here on his own merit, the PR backlash could very well be negative when he transfers because of playing time issues.
Don't think MJ even made the team his freshman year in High School. Shows how determined he was and his work ethic to go on and become so great with such a slow start........and we (Parents) all think today, if they don't begin playing in "Little dribblers" at 5 they'll never catch up.
Didn't even make it his sophomore year. However, I believe he was an all-american by his senior year.
