Les made his own bed. He should have given Lee decent snaps in the last three games. Now when Lee gets in, it looks like Les is bowing down to fans, instead of finding out the best QB on his own terms as the head coach. Or if Lee doesn't see quality snaps, he'll be viewed as more stubborn and defying the fans.
I am not giving you the credit for this, but right now I am beginning to believe that problem lies in the play calling. This isnt the NFL, there are no free agents, you have to build your team around what you have. Because what you have is all you got And if LSU wants a shot an SEC title this year, the OC needs to come up with some play calling that is surrounded by every good thing JJ has done these first 4 games and ditch the plays he cant execute. If he can build an offensive scheme based on JJ's positive performances last year and these 4 games, we may be ok. JJ wasnt horrible last year, it seems GC said to himself, "OK JJ is ready to run my style of offense, we are taking the leash off" He isnt ready, but he can move the chains in a simple offense. Our worst loss last season - 10 points, if we are better this year than last, all we need from JJ is an opportunity not a miracle JJ is our only shot, we either do what we can, or....... or NOTHING! Thats It Jefferson Hope and Pray
when does his contract end? I'd rather not buy him out and pay another coach at the same time. Imagine how much ticket prices would go up then!
When I look at Jefferson I look at a guy that really wants to be a good QB but lacks the DNA makeup to get the ball out on time. I think Jefferson is good enough to get you 8-10 wins a year with top talent around him, not good enough to get you the pass plays or if needed the run ability to get you to the next step. Jefferson to me offers the best chance for success with Crowton, Lee offers the only hope for SEC championship but not going to happen with Crowton. To really fix the offense is going to take a year or two but immediate issues might be able to be fixed with some decent play calling. Les is doing what most fans were doing, which is ignoring the obvious. The mad hatter is not mad, he is a chicken. He has a good enough team to get him 8-10 wins but the team is really good enough to go all the way.
Is it more reasonable to bite the bullet and pay him off or go back to a half empty stadium and an occasional trip to the independence bowl?
Dude, are you being serious? I'm asking because I've always thought of Miles as the GWB of football (at least when it comes to speaking; decision-making is a different story ).
