OMG !!! A-HOLE ALERT !!!!! Dude... Some of us are just tired of seeing the same mistakes over and over and over again. Who the hell are you to question me? I have a right to speak my mind no matter what a-holes like you think. I don't know if you noticed but we SUCKED the second half. Or maybe you were too drunk to remember that part? Lay off the Jack Daniels dude... If you don't like what I post then don't read my post.. It is that simple. I guess I should spell it out for you but I don't feel like it. What are you like 12? Go get your mother or someone to help you understand this post....
THIS Jefferson > Lee Jefferson isn't Rohan, but he isn't horrible. He needs to learn to not telegraph his passes and look for other targets, though. When Randle fell down, JJ didn't know what to do. He's stepping up in the pocket and other than the terrible throw away pass, his passes weren't in jeopardy of being picked off. None that I saw anyway. He saw, it seemed, when the TE was open consistently. The bottom line is we NEED to get the running game going for him to be effective. Unless you are Marino or Fouts, even a good QB needs an effective running game to help throw the ball. Mauck had Vincent. Flynn had Hester. JP Wilson had Ingram. Aikman had Emmit. Kelly had Thomas. Even Elway didn't get to the big game until Davis showed up. The list goes on on both levels, minus a few exceptions. In this offense, you run to set up the pass. If you have problems running, you have problems passing. And LSU_4_LIFE needs to GET_A_LIFE
Who knows if we never see him? Lee may have gotten much better, but it appears that Jefferson has plateaued based on this game. If he's not on top of his stuff by game three . . .
I know the anti-Lee crowd goes nuts about this but I think he deserves a shot. For the good of the team, see if he can put it together in a game....you never know. Red is right....we have a pretty good idea what Jefferson does and he is a pretty limited qb in some ways. See if Lee can generate some better flow out there and avoid the negative plays.
jefferson completed 71% of his passes and got 9 yards a completion. Granted 9 yards isn't a world beater but it's not bad. I thought Jefferson threw the ball very well when we actually decided to not run it up the middle or run the damned zone read.
Were you at the game, how do you know nobody was open? Cause I know for damn sure you have no clue if secondary targets were open or not and I doubt Jefferson knows either. We have 3 outstanding WRs and UNC was down to scrub defensive backs, and you expect me to believe ours guys couldn't get open? This defense was depleted, this game should have been his coming out party, it doesn't get any easier than that and he just didn't look good.
I actually drink Crown, not Jack. But anyhow, to answer your question, yes I did watch the 2nd half, and from what my drunk a$$ remembers was not a JJ meltdown, it was a holding call that had a touchdown called back, another holding call on a first down run, and 2 critical fumbles, one of which ended a touchdown drive and the other gave UNC life with a minute left. I dont like what you post, and u have every right to get on here and post and hide behind your keyboard making mom jokes and bashing what you call your favorite team. Trust me, I am tired of seeing the smae mistakes over and over too! You know, My dad, LSU Alum. Doesnt watch LSU that much anymore, he always tells me that one day I'll stop watching them as much to0, When i asked him why, he replied, "Because you can never control it"
Ok, let me clarify for the slow people, Im sorry I have to elaborate, When it "appeared nobody was open" he didnt force anything and scrambled for positive yards. Bottom line, JJ played about as well or in your opinion, as bad, as I thought he would. I dont understand how you expect him to become Peyton Manning just because he has one season under his belt. DOES LSU HAVE TO WIN THE BCS EVERY YEAR for some of you to just be satisfied, or are baby steps towards getting better just not good enough?
