The Jordan Jefferson that we saw tonight was the Jordan Jefferson that showed so much promise last year. Say what you will about our opponent. Auburn is awful on defense; there is simply no denying that. However, they're not the first weak defensive team that we've played this year, and Jefferson has looked nowhere near as good at any point against any of them. The coaching staff finally took the reigns off of him and just turned him loose. Obviously, we've still got our toughest defensive opponent ahead of us. But he had to get that one confidence-boosting game under his belt if we're to have any chance of beating those a-holes. Auburn was Jordan's "slump-buster." I'm actually shocked that the running game was not more productive than it was with the passing game clicking so well. With regards to Lee, yes, that first pass was a little reminiscent. But damn, that near 98-yd BOMB to Randle was frickin' sweet. Anyone who doubted which QB has the best arm on the team should do so no longer.
I think JJ looked great. It was great to see him snap back after the UF game. I just wish Crowton would settle down and cut out the silly plays. We really need to run the ball some more and have some designed run plays for JJ.:milesmic:
I think we have a championship defense, no doubt about it. The only thing holding us back is jefferson's ability to get the ball out quickly. If he can learn to make quicker reads, we could be national champs. He has everything else. Game mgmt, strong arm, pretty good accuracy and certainly all the players around him. He just needs to get rid of the ball quicker. I know the receivers are open. There just needs to be better synchronization b/t him and the receivers. Like with Brees and his receivers.
JJ played a good game. Looks like the week off and some intense coaching improved the situation. He looks like the true soph he is, with 8 starts to his credit. He got rattled in spots a few times, but played a good game. Let's play Tulane and win, then go to Bama and be a dog on the road, and pull an upset!
Best LSU win of the season. Convincing win, a career night for Jefferson, 250 yards passing and 50 yards rushing. And you are complaining about him. Typical for DanNoFan. :dis: :insane:
Overall a pretty good game for the tigers - Finally!!... Hopefully building some steam for the Alabama game!!:geaux: They are beatable if we can stuff the run.. tough job... Tenn played them well, new coach new system & all...
LSU is in control of their own destiny. Fla and Bammer are showing weakness. It's a good time to start peaking.
