I don't know anything about his grades or character, but it's probably his size scaring big teams off...but this is the type of kid that goes to a smaller school and rips a league apart. He wouldn't rip a BCS conference apart, but he's good enough to be a solid contributor and help a team win games. ps check out his shuttle time of 4 flat...a near sub 4 sec shuttle!
If Johnson were 5'11" or 6'1" he would be a high 4 star player, but since he is 5'8" major schools will shy away from him. He is a gambreaking playmaker.
True, but Im sure its his height that he isnt more highly sought after. The kid was a highlight reel waiting to happen. He nearly doubled the yards put up by Molten.
That's what I'm saying when ppl where tellin me LSU offered Destrahan's WR Damaris J was who I was thinking of not knocking Molton its just Damaris stands out. But it must be his grades just like R.Mackey from Bastrop undefeated in his career but if you dont hit the books you wont hit the field.
Got me there. I could have sworn he was just a 3 star and much lower on the La top 40. Was he just moved up very recently? For a 4 star player there are no marquee teams on his list. If he were bigger I still believe he would be highly sought after. Id take him over Moten(no disrespect at all), but Johnson really stands out. I could certainly see and agree with the Skylar Green comparisons.
There are no marquee teams on his list because he is a true sleeper. His injury last year kept him off the radar of a lot of coaches. Except Les Miles. I was hoping we would recongnize his talent and sign him.

Thanks for posting! JJ sounds like he's got a really good head on his shoulders. I also believe he's a great fit for LSU! :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
