I think that the problem was made worse bythe brpd. They should have said " we are conducting an investigation and will have nothing else to say. Any further comment would be by the D. A's office when and if they decide to comment at all.
I listen to wwl at work. They made the statement that an lsu player pulled out the driver and four lsu players beat him down. The media spread rumors and presented them as know, verifiable facts. This put pressure on the brpd to act
not sure if I am reading this right, but it looks Jefferson could still travel with the team to Dallas? Link: TigerRag - Miles reflects on chaotic week I would think having been suspended, practice and all Tiger games would be off limits for these 2. Both of them have far bigger things to worry about than football right now and the team needs to focus on the game at hand.
They haven't been convicted of anything. The suspensions were to put the matter aside and concentrate on football. JJ & Johns have every right to travel with the team.
Then they should not have been suspended IMHO. I have to respectfully disagree with you there SabanFan, although you are clearly entitled to your viewpoint. In college when I played ball we had guys lose the privilege to travel or sit with the team for incidents way less egregious than this. I think its all unfortunate and JJ got caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time with someone who deserved what they had coming...he just needed to be more mature and walk away and do what he allegedly told his father he did. I feel for the kid, all this over a bar fight.
IMO, I think all concerned would agree that JJ would be too big of a distraction if he were to travel with the team. The media distraction is bad enough today.
I agree. All the camera's would be on Jefferson and all the talking heads would harrumph about it. Jefferson doesn't need it, the team doesn't need it and I damn sure don't want to watch and hear about anything except the game.
