Obviously Jefferson is showing something to the coaching staff, players, and program that has them supporting them. Maybe the only option besides bringing in J-Lee, is to help JJ get better. Maybe the only way of helping him get better is by making practice as close to a real game as possible, take off the green jersey and when the pocket breaks down, let Drake eat his lunch. Maybe after a few big hits and an intense pass rush all in in practice, game day wont be so much different. BUT....I have no idea.....I'll be watching saturday regardless who is under center & regardless of JJ's play.
I haven't heard anything to suggest that JJ is spectacular in practice. Although, I have heard that very thing about Lee. . .
I'd like to see Herb Tyler run this offense. Matt Flynn was not known (and still isn't) to be a good practice player but he sure could play on game day.
Herb wasn't the best qb ever, but holy hell he was fun to watch. if only he was taller than 3' 8" and could see over the line.
