Jefferson isn't going to be annointed as the next quarterback. There is going to be a battle again in the spring and in the fall. Best man wins. Jefferson is far from superman or he would have taken the job away from Hatch and Lee before now.

a buddy of mine brought it up to me before. He's been very classy and knows how much some people despise him, but he straps up and gives it his all every weekend. He's got as much heart as anyone in college football and he showed it in that troy game. I've got tons of respect for him. That being said I just want an open competition for the spot and let CROWTON pick the quarterback he feels will give him the best opportunity to open up his offense and call plays without feeling hand cuffed.

Let's give Lee some credit for those WINS. Jefferson hasn't shown that he can lead us down the field multiple times and gut out a win. You could put asterisks next to Mauck and Flynn for not being the most talented, but we gutted out wins with them at the helm.

I just think it is too early to write of Lee. He has a hell of an arm.

Hopefully he makes strides in the offseason and puts together a complete package. If he can work on some things, namely his accuracy and looking an open reciever more... he'll be dangerous and will compliment JJs' style greatly.

Lee needs to stay as a backup ... give Shepard a red-shirt year - don't have this situation again - always recruit those that want  - let others go to texas ..- transfer harvard guy to regain scholarship and have him become gov of La.in 20 yrs.... :thumb:
