kid won his 1st road start of his career.

Whether by 1 or by 101, winning your 1st game of the year is a plus NO MATTER WHO YOU PLAY.

Just ask OU -- you know, the team who lost to BYU, who those same Huskies had by the balls last year.

    3 TD 0 INT
    1 W

    1-0.

    I dig it.

If you don't, then that's just unfortunate.

As ugly as the game was anybody who dis's JJ for celebrating a road win in his first game as the season opening starter is an idiot.

Would it make you feel any better if he had hung his head in shame? JJ may not have looked like the second coming of Peyton Manning or Tom Brady but overall he played a pretty good game despite the limitations that CLM placed on the offense. JJ gained confidence as a QB from the experience and he will be a better player for it.

I thought Jefferson played very well and shows tremendous potential. You could tell he was not going through a lot of progressions, but I loved how he tucked and ran or threw the ball away when he saw nothing there.

We gotta figure out how to not let him get hit so much. That one hit he took on the chin that snapped his head back gave me lots of chills...even reminded me of Andrew Hatch at times.

It was cool to see the Washington defender the one with the rung bell on that play. Getting hit in SEC play like that might have different results!

Congrats JJ on leading the offense to 31 points...pretty impressive !!

If JJ takes those kind of hits against SEC competition, especially against Alabama and Florida, he will get injured and won't last the season

    What Claire said.

There are things I'm unhappy with after last night. Jefferson's performance, while not flashy, was not one of them, nor was his reaction after the game.

He won a game on the road. Why wouldn't he be happy? I'm glad he isn't a crybaby.

Are you kidding me? JJ played great in a hostile environment on the road. It's not like we were losing be 30 and he was laughing on the sidelines (A. Brooks). He can't be happy because the game was closer than you wanted it to be?

come on dude....take a chill pill.

Agree...dont get why people are being hard on him when he did what he was suppose to do...its funny how there were so many excuses and saves for Lee but people are ready jump on JJ after the first game of the season. That was a great croud and was very loud and he performed very well...I do think Jai needs to be starting over Hawkings though.

I thought JJ played solid with that said I think it's stupid people are mad because he was joking, why not? It's a game and the game was over and he played a honorable game.

    Silly thread. IMHO
