UW outplayed them by quite a margin. IMHO They need to open it up now... this is what happened last year. When you are behind by 2 touchdowns in SEC play isn't when you want to start to give your inexperience QB drop back passing reps. IMHO The Scott of the middle play has to go. Jefferson played solid. Play calling sucked.
JayB, I think you're being a little hard on JJ. If we would've lost and he was doing that, then you would have a beef. As it is, we won the game, so no big deal. Did we do it in the fashion we wanted to? No, but that team is a lot different than the one that went winless (without Locker and without their RB). That entire team was revamped and there was no film to study to prepare for their offense.
True :hihi: I should change that to the 'team' scored 31. That should be enough to win every game minus Florida.
I think Jefferson played well. He did look tentative when he ran the ball. Looked like he was afraid to get hit and his letting up a bit at the end of the runs got him hit.
How many yards did Jefferson throw for? A career high 172. That was not championship caliber football on either side of the ball - if you were an unbiased observer, after watching this game LSU wouldn't be high on your radar.
A ton of the yardage was Toliver after the catch. Not Jefferson's fault, he played solid. Horrible play calling like last year. IMHO
Yeah, he definitely should have started chewing out Lafell or Toliver, or his O-line for the lack of pass protection. Maybe he should have called out Chavis on the sideline too while he's at it. :rolleye33: He's not Aaron Brooks, chill. But it doesn't matter what I say, because you're too pissed off right now to listen to anything.
