Yeah rivals has an article about is it to crowded for him. I would hate to lose him I really liked him the best out of the 3. I hoped we didnt promise him something and broke it because I wouldnt want the rep of breaking promises to recruits.
Thomas is an athlete. He was a 3 star as a QB, and would've stayed that way if his position hadn't been switched to athlete. It's not exactly accurate to say that he's the highest rated out of the 3. The Jefferson's are true QBs.
I was using Scout.com rankings where they still have him as the 11th QB in front of the Jeffersons that why I said 4 star QB but I remember when rivals had him as a 3-star QB though.
Isnt Thomas being recruited more as a WR/DB prospect rahter than QB? Also, does Miles still have his no visit policy once you commit? Seeing as though there are rumors Thomas may visit Florida.
Yeah, I believe there are 3 or 4 LSU commits still making visits....I know Peterson visited Bama...wanna say Hatcher is still looking around...I thought I saw another, I check into it. BTW...Im liking Jordon Jefferson more and more as I see his video.
Watched the Destrehan Carenco game last night and couldn't have been more wrong about Jordon Jefferson. He is the real deal. Big, strong arm , accurate and fast, what more could you ask for. He is a good one. Can't see, after watching that game, why he is rated as just a three star. It just goes to show why you shouldn't put to much weight on star rankings.
For your first question: "Yes and No." is the answer I'd give. "Yes", as an ATH, Thomas projects as a possible WR/DB but also as a QB as well. Thomas has never said he was opposed to the possibility of playing a position other than QB, but he did state he just wanted the chance to COMPETE for a QB position at whichever school he picked. I think it's worth a shot to, at the very least, allow Thomas to show his hand as a QB considering that any QB's we sign this season are likely to be redshirted anyway. That would give him a full year to work out with the QB's in practice. You'd have to figure that with RP (if he ACTUALLY shapes up and avoids a "strike 3" in the discipline department) as the likely starter for '08, and Jarrett Lee and Hatcher as the backups, our QB recruits in this class would benefit from a redshirt year. As for the policy for Miles not allowing committed recruits to go on any other visits, it appears that it's not a clear-cut definition as to what his policy actually is, but it's safe to say that the only recruits that have been in trouble with visiting other programs are the ones that have lied about their intentions. Seems to me that as long as recruits have been honest with Miles about it, he seems to let them....
