I gotcha and what I meant by "what can we expect" in terms of understanding reasoning (or lack thereof) with some.
Let me tone this down a bit and say this as nice as I can. If you were one of the 'person's in the crowd' (not fans) who boo’d you are a moronic stoneless limpsnake child finding it necessary to act out your insipid impulses in the insane believe that this demonstrates your football IQ. And you are correct sir. When you add the justification that it’s OK because you paid a lot for the ticket it provides more proof, not that any was needed, that you’re a self centered prick who doesn’t care that you’re diminishing the game experience for the intelligent fans who also bought a ticket. For a rationalization of your actions to say ‘I wasn’t booing JJ I was booing Miles’ ignores the impossible to ignore fact that nobody believes you, because you and other 'person's in the crowd' (not fans) have boo’d players before. Congratulations, you have hit the trifecta of classless stupidity. In my humble opinion, but I could be wrong. As for as the call, I would have preferred Lee stay in, but Les is with these guys all the time and one of the things he does best is keep the pulse of his team. If he thought it was the right thing to do I can live with it, I don’t love it but it surely doesn't merit a boo.
wtf??? NOBODY SHOULD EVER BOO LSU PLAYERS! i know i make some stupid off the hip remarks but your saying you might understand why? im stuck out here in this desert with noooo crawfish or oyster po boys and dont have the ability to go to a game in tiger stadium but if i did i would NEVER BOO THE FIGHTING TIGERS OF LLL SSS UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!! :LSU231::geaux:
Boo'd ? how many team rules did he break that night? Why not boo. Was it a slap int face for him to waltz in there , run a 1yarder, get all that credit, while Lee has been the best thing hasppen to LSU in several years. Just sayin...........
Pretty classless to boo the kid. Makes me even angrier when it is so hard to get tickets because these meat whistles have them all.
2000 isn't the only one I've heard this same sentiment from and for the life of me I can't understand why? I've asked the others and they can't seem to give me a legitimate reason for this thinking. So, I pose the question to LSUFan2000 - WHY? Jordan Jefferson is a member of the football team and LSU is trying to win a national championship. Les Miles gets paid nearly $4 million to win football games. He's going to do what he thinks best for his football team. This is about LSU, the team, winning a championship and not about one player. And, please don't give me the lame disrespectful to Lee garbage. Really, did you see the the game? Lee was the biggest cheerleader. Plus, the players understand this is about winning a title and not about some fan-base, made-up crap about disrespect to some individual. While I believe fans have every right to boo, doesn't mean that they should. This booing of Jefferson was embarrassing to LSU, the team, the fans and the state as a whole. And don't think it went unnoticed by recruits or other school's recruiters. LSU is in a heated battle for the top player in the state in Landon Collins, what impression does that send to him? This was sickening.
Head so far up your ass. Jarrett Lee and countless others broke curfew too! That's a piss poor excuse. And several players have a lot to say about that "best thing" statement...Kelvin Sheppard, Drake Nevis, Patrick Peterson, The Honey Badger, Stevan Ridley, Matt Flynn, Alex Hurst, LES MILES, and several others come to mind... Pitiful excuse for a fan. Go cheer for West Virginia.
I don't know. Neither do you. What we do know is he was disciplined along with many other team members for breaking curfew. Miles said as much. Because all he did was run into the game when his coach told him to, and execute the play that was called in. Why on earth would anyone boo that? Lee didn't take it as a slap in the face, as evidenced by his actions (being one of the first to congratulate Jefferson), and by what he said in the media about the situation. Lee is a classy kid who understood the situation, and that Jefferson had the better skill set. Furthermore, Jefferson only gets credit for scoring the TD. Lee gets credit for navigating the offense downfield. The history books arent going to be revised because Lee was not the Tiger to score. Was it a slap in the face to Chris Leak every time Tim Tebow ran in on a 3rd or 4th and short? Was it a slap in the face that Tebow ran the goal line plays? Do you think Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush felt slighted when Mike Bell got carries on a short yardage situation? Is it a slap in the face of the players who sit down when a defense goes from base set to nickel? These examples keep coming, but the thing I want to be clear is... you have a dumb point. Down and distance determine the personnel not entitlement.
