Perhaps by doing this (putting JJ in for a 1 yd or whatever 'stretch'/run into the endzone) another team down the road won't expect it to be attempted at all by JL and will 'assume' we're going for a pass or handoff to someone else. Ya' never know...
And it worked...and we won...and you are right. They know playing Miles is like Big Brother- Expect the unexpected.
Yes I do. Not only do I love it but it's definitely a strength of his coaching. It is a sign he trusts his kids. Not only in their ability but also to execute- which speaks to his confidence in himself/his coaching- what he's worked with them on in practice.to do.
This is why I can't understand why some folks hate to see LSU run the option. The threat of the option makes defensive coordinators waste time in practice to guard against it. It complicates all the reads in the game. Just the fact that Jefferson dresses out complicates opponents planning.
red I don't have a problem with running the option; only a problem with running it every time he goes in like we did with RP, pretty much. I figured surely they were setting the defenses up and I kept waiting for RP to toss the big one down field- like Bama did to Florida in the first play from scrimmage. It never happened.
Tiga, booing aside, I was actually referring to the moron suggesting that JJ AND Miles owed JL and the fanbase an apology. BS.
