Via Bleacher Report Team Stream-The Tampa Bay Bucs signed him to a contract. He'll compete for a third string QB position. "Jefferson is one of the players who drew the most praise from the coaching staff in Tampa Bay this weekend."

Jefferson said he just wants to prove that he's a"talented player".

Good for him. Poor guy suffered under Crowton.

I am kind of used to people saying he turned the corner and looked good in spring training. just wait till he has NFL defensive linemen trying to take his head off...bet he doesn't tuck and run more than twice. :p

Jefferson is one of the players who drew the most praise from the coaching staff in Tampa Bay this weekend.

"He's an athletic guy who has a strong arm," Bucs coach Greg Schiano said. "We wanted to gauge his development as a quarterback. I thought he made consistent improvement all weekend. There's a lot of upside there, so I think we would like to have a chance to work with him."

And they will learn what we already. Jefferson is all world in practce. Every spring we heard how great he was in camps and practice. Come game time.. he is what he is. I wish him well but i will slap my dog and call me silly if he ever takes sustained snaps as a qb. And if he does buc fans will be screaming the same things we have for 4 years.

There may not be many of us, but I will always pull for any and ALL tigers in the NFL.

Well I am rooting for him, I root for all Tigers to be successful but I seriously doubt there is a single college football fan that expects jefferson to amount to even a 3rd team QB in the NFL. If he does become an NFL starter and is actually productive, Les and Stud have some serious splanin to do and we have a ton of crow to eat. But we heard every spring how great JJ looked in practice, and was what the "best" QB in the Manning camps. But as soon as he had a pass rush at least what I saw for 4 years was confusion and badly thrown balls. Again he is the past now. So him being successful in the NFL has NO impact on us and will be great for him. I hope he does make an NFL roster and gets playing time at any position.

Yep, and when I saw Jamarcus sporting gump gear I started rooting against him. Once a gump always a gump, phucking fatass.

Woops. Sorry for the derailing. :p

Jefferson isn't an NFL caliber qb, the reads they have to make are ridiculous. Think bama's D flustered him? Sh*t, the NFL will eat his ass up, and he can't run like RGIII.
He's best off bulking up and trying to play different positions.

I wish Jordan the best. Hope he makes the most of his opportunity.

Hey, Sean Payton made Quincy Carter into a reasonably competent starting QB in Dallas. Sometimes you can really work and coach up an athletic guy if he's ready and willing to put in the work.
