Fair enough MM and that other tiger dude win this round so lets assume that I was wrong to do that for a minute. The Democrats are no less prejudice than the republicans, all human beings have issues. As I listed Robert Byrd a member of the kkk and democrat. Democrats are tolerated by minorities because of the free hand outs, socialism, etc. They have nowhere else to go because the republicans don't give free stuff like the Democrats. There aren't many things that resemble the way they did in Lincoln's day, that should be a given. Once again racism doesn't exist in just the republican party, everyone has some kind of bias over someone or something, I think? I hope that comes over right. Agreed but in some cases they are voting against republicans not necessarily for democrats, like we or they have some other choice. I don't think democrats are innocent at all of being prejudice or racists, they just don't show it as much, in politics perception is reality. Also the most popular person in the room is always the one giving away free stuff.
Thats actually a good point. As we see whats happening in Mexico right now with Drug wars and hundreds of people being killed daily over drug turf.
I don't know that 18 months is the time frame but I assure you it isn't ten years and I would be very surprised if it took us more than 18 months to avoid a depression. Truth is, if it is going to take doubling our national debt to get us out of this thing, then bring it on (the depression that is), because we may as well take our medicine now. The reality is, we need to pay for the sins of our past and endure a deep, hard recession to get all of the mess fixed. The stimulus bill should have been more focused, and the budget forecast should have been more stingy. We are literally staring over a cliff and these f*cking politicians keep pushing us in the back. It's unbelievable. We have to spend money to be able to get pay down the debt long term. If our financial institutions fail, our debt will be the least of our trouble. I'll leave Red to the explanation as he did a very good job.
Ok so the question that comes to mind is that we are walking a fine line. If we spend too much money or at some point pass the point of no return we could become a third world country or spend our way into a depression also, am I being correct, I think so? I got to be honest here, I really don't trust or think that anyone in the government today is smart enough to fix this problem especially not crossing the point of no return. I also think "government" over reacts to every crisis. This is what scares me. Did you hear that MM? I'm not talking about just one side here!
