the national bashing Manziel has been taking in the media has been FEROCIOUS. Just the signature-gate scandal got him so much bashing that TexAgs.com was nothing but threads about how butthurt they were that Johnny was getting bashed so much. Then you had the half-game NCAA suspension, and how he acted in the Rice game.... all day Sunday every sports show i tuned into both on the TV and the radio each did a huge section bashing Manziel, saying stuff like he's the most immature athlete in recent memory, etc, etc. I don't feel sorry for him one bit, but i am pretty surprised at how much the media is bashing him. but i'm not complaining.

The only solution I'm aware of for this much emotional immaturity is time and lots of it. Even then his ego knows no bounds. Again, this will not end well. It's just human nature.

I just don't understand how his parents aren't getting bashed at least as much as he is. Classic enablers that seem hell bent on convincing their son that he is too talented to have to respect anyone or anything.

Exactly, not sure how this band of tool sheds are beyond reproach but I'm sure everyone just forgets that he didn't just fall out of the sky. This attitude, this behavior, this disregard for authority is nothing if not learned and possibly nurtured. I posted an article from deadspin in a thread a while back. You should give it a read, it is long but it gives great insight as to where this assclown came from.

Check out the Aggie Presidents twitter: @aggieprez and you'll see why Manziel is the way he is. The aggie prez is showing up in a twitter photo doing the "money sign" that Manziel did against Rice. Apparently not only does JohnnyFaggie have no problem rubbing it in the NCAAs face, but the University President doesn't either. Total class down there in Fagville.

Also, it really burns my ass that his nickname is directly biting that of Don Mattingly ("Donnie Baseball"). Mattingly was given that name because he was the consumate baseball player; he represented everything that a baseball player should be as his class and demeanor were above the fray, and he was the ultimate team player. This little homo isn't even in the same stratosphere as Mattingly, and it's insulting to Don's legacy. Time to drop the "Johnny Football" crap.

The shine is already off this kid no matter what they call him. When it comes to burning bridges, he's been a regular Johnny napalm.
