JOHNNY MANZIEL SUSPENDED (for first-half of season opener against Rice)

The kid is a punk, plain and simple.

 

And I didn't even see this but apparently after he got flagged for taunting he was coming off the field and Sumlin was gonna give him an earful, he just completely ignored his head coach, walked right past him and didn't even acknowledge him. Kevin Sumlin is in a hell of a spot, Manziel is making him look like Jason Garrett, like he has no power.

 

Yeah, Sumlin's in a pickle. He should have been harder on him up front, but who knows what he has done behind closed doors. For all this talk about "taking the Aggie code of ethics seriously", you would think the administration would take some action. Dude is making them look classless. I can't stand A&M, and don't get why anyone would want to go to school in Nothing, TX, but I have always thought of them as a respectable, military based, ethical school and administration. The way they have gone about supporting Manziel shows the willingness to have their Heisman QB is above all else. I think all of the years of being the step-child to UT has fueled their desire to be a football school at all costs, and the unexpected rise to stardom of Manziel is trumping their ethics.

 

Gotta wonder why Sumlin isn't taking more flack publicly for not controlling the little douchelobster. It's clear who wears the pants in this relationship, yet I've heard very little about the head coach's role in this situation. All you hear is praise and doting over Womanziel.

 

You know, I really don't give a flip about atm, however if Sumlin doesn't get a hold of this situation quickly he will lose this team. How can he have any powerbase to discipline anyone on the team when they see this shit bird doing whatever the hell he wants to do. Should be fun to watch.

**sidebar** I was in my hotel lobby this weekend talking to a guy that lives in college station. He said the majority of folks there cannot wait until manziel is gone.

 

I saw that, however I am pretty sure I heard one announcer say that he was doing this last year as well so they didn't know what to make of it. Either way he is still a dickbag and I can't wait until we break him off something proper.

 

aTm has always been sort of an afterthought for me. I know there was a rivalry there in the 70s and, later, in the 80s but they were just the school in Texas that had male cheerleaders and a collie dog for a mascot and had some students who dressed kinda funny for football games. I also knew an aTm grad in law school. She seemed normal enough but her prized possession was her photo with Reveille. I guess I can understand that; I'd be all over a photo with the real Mike if I could live to tell the tale.
