This may not be the home run hire that we were looking for, I must admit, I was hoping for Scott, Smart or Dixon. Home run it may not be but right now Coach Jones is rounding 2nd! From articles that have been put out, it seems as if CJJ reached out to Randy Livingston and Q White to get them on staff. I'm not sure if its official(the hire) but it's rumored that both White and Livingston have already been spotted in N.O. at some of the high schools (kinda makes you think they are trying to open up the pipeline). Getting guys who know the basketball landscape of Louisiana and are well respected is Key. Now i'm not saying if we lock down the stated we are going to the final four but it's good PR, it puts fans in the seats. I can't say Louisiana is a hotbed for basketball but every year there is a few players that leaves the state that make you think, man it would have been nice to see him in purple and gold! If RL and QW are on staff that's a step toward getting those guys. I've herd people question CJJ coaching skills. Tony Mitchell was a top 15 recruit who had some academic problems, Josh White who guided NT to a 20 point pounding of the Tigers at home and whom I hope A Hickey is looking at if he's thinking about transferring. The hire has already created some buzz with the local high school coaches and some of the players. At this point no but on his twitter page he talks about JJ becoming coach at LSU, then says things are starting to look up...some guy then tweets him sign with LSU and get Gathers to go with you and he replies if the opportunity is there...somewhere in there he tweets Gathers his phone # and tell him to call or text him
