I agree, I don't think he thought out his response very well. Because our recruits, passed and present, say how Les and the staff don't pressure players, and make them feel really wanted.

He's a recruit that I've seen at a few camps and his dad is someone I'm familiar with. He's a great kid, I would have said the same thing about him regardless of where he'd decided to play.

Wetback isn't a term I would use and wouldn't care to see it applied to anybody. Not the point though. John is Polynesian and USC has a long history with and current player list of Poly players. I'd likely come to their defense no matter what.

I'm sure he is a great kid.

(Hope he doesn't try to go pro early or he'll see how much his new coach will support him)

Not at all. You were incorrect in your assessment. That about sums it up.

Had that same statement been spoken of Pete Carroll, all USC fans would be in a uproar about it. Your assessment is USC bias, obviously to a great degree. The focus of the thread, was about John Martinez's ill chosen words spoken about LSU, and it's coaching staff. Not that John had so called "Communication Problems" with LSU. Fact is he said "We didn't really care" call it whatever you like. It's still negative words about our Coaching staff. As John Martinez has chosen poor words to assess LSU, you have made the same gross mistake.

Some of you guys just like to b!tch and cry over any lil thing said against LSU. Im sorry, but he could have said far worse. These are freakin KIDS thrown into a media whirlwind in their recruitement. So sometimes they will say things. Sure it doesnt say great things about LSU, but thats probably how he felt. Lets be honest here, with the way the Benton situation was handled we witnessed first hand how cut throat Miles and staff can be when they need. Kids get hurt and say things. No big deal. Some of you are acting more like kids than Martinez with his comments. Im sure Ill get flack for this, but oh well.
