You are right. That is a real shame. Coach Robinson was a true legend and a great coach.

This moral failure by Joe Pa has tarnished him and will be in the first paragraph of every biographical sketch of him. This will likely remove his name from most discussions of “coaching legends” for a long time – as it should. Any way you look at it, Joe Pa just threw 60+ years of college coaching and any legendary status he had down the drain.

By the sounds of it, Sandusky is going to have all the nuts he can handle when he gets into prison.

Serve the sorry SOSt right ... to be on the other end of his ways.

Of course .. this is provide that he is convicted. He is proclaiming innocence ...but so did Charles Manson.

A sudden curiosity. This strikes me as rather vindictive, but let's say for the sake of argument Penn State really wants to stick it to Paterno. They feel like they have something to prove or somesuch. In theory, is Penn State able to vacate a couple of Paterno's wins from the mid 2000's to drop him below?

this smacks of deviant mass psychology, jim jones style. dont want to hurt the nittany lions. wouldnt want to get joepa in trouble. this might hurt recruiting.

from reading the testimony it sounds like there were numerous people that swept this under the rug---the GA that witnessed one incident, his father, paterno, two janitors that witnessed another incident, the janitors supervisor, the AD, the pres, and there are probably more.

i hope lsu never gets to the point where football is so important.

JoePa's biggest fault was that he is the biggest name involved and hence had to be let go. There were people more responsible than him. If you know anything about Joe Paterno, he does not support this and he does NOT value football over things like this. Look at all that he has done for the young men he has coached the past half century. I've read his book & respect the man a lot. He's getting way more criticism than he deserves IMO.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Why they haven't fired Coach McQueary is beyond me.

They better handle that before Saturday.
