    100% agreed.

    He was overly opinionated to be a good color announcer, IMO.

    Had a friend who worked for his beer distributorship here in tha Bay and said dude is an absolute @ss.

    Man I always liked listening to Joe, say what you will but that cat knew his baseball. I'm sure he will get another gig somewhere.

    What was it that you hated so much about him? I've always liked when he called a game. Seriously, what was it that was so bad?

    He's just the typical Captain Obvious a lot like the idiot NFL announcer Dan Dierdork. And then he was always throwing his career info/achievements into the deal, which was nauseating.

    I also didn't like the sound of his voice.

    Other than that, he was fantastic. A true pioneer.
