How are things looking for us to land him?I thought at first that we would get him then I thought we wouldn't now I don't have a clue what to expect from this kid.I know he will probably visit Alabama,and maybe Texas. I think in the end it will be between us and USC. I just feel that if he wanted to really come to LSU, he would have given us a soft verbal atleast.I also think that his fatherfigure in J.T. ,does not particuly like Les Miles.I know he stated he wants to stay close to his brother and mom and J.T. ,but I think J.T. wants him to go out of state.Hopefully Joe will come to LSU so we can win another:crystal: .

What makes you think JT doesn't like Miles? If Joe & JT are so close (which they are), then how does it make any sense that he would want him to go out of state?
Yeah why do you say JT Curtis doesn't like Miles? Do you actually have proof of that or are you just saying it?
Not sure which thread to post this is in but a bammer co-worker and, in his words, an insider (I tend to believe him because of what he does and who he knows but he's a freakin horn blower so I take him with a grain of salt), said McKnight has now scheduled a visit to Bama for the 26th. I saw this thread before he told me that so I baited him a little and asked why he thought McKnight would visit Bama when he wasnt even on his radar screen at all. He said, and again..take this with a grain of salt and consider the source, that McKnight's coach LOVES Saban but didnt think too highly of Miles. I asked him why he didnt like Miles and he said he didnt know but thats what he was hearing. He also said Curtis has been a huge fan of Sabans for years and supposedly had helped Curtis some in the past at either camps or something else at the school. He also said Saban could get anyone he wanted out of the school. Again, this dude is a big talkative bammer jerk but he seems to confirm what is originally posted.
Very possible. He mentioned that he was considering it. From what I hear, Curtis & Saban are good friends. He likes Miles, but it isn't as much of a personal relationship as it is with Saban. Saban has also known about Joe since 8th grade, and Joe knows about Saban, so it is possible that Bama will be in the hunt, but doubtful that they get him. Saban got whoever he wanted from the school while at LSU, that will not be the case anymore. He may get one every once in a while, but LSU will win most of the battles.
As much as we would like to think that Saban is widely hated because of that, in all honesty I dont think it matters much, if at all. The press hype about Saban leaving the fins, IMHO, carries little weight with people who Saban has had past relationships with and even less weight with recruits. As an LSU fan I want to believe that Saban is universally hated but I just dont think thats the case.
Word is that Saban will be holding a press conference tomorrow to announce his coaching staff...and part of that coaching staff is expect to be....John Curtis...who so happens to be Joe McKnight's football coach. anybody want to guess who might be heading to bama?
