His contract states he will be paid 4.5M next year with a possible 1M bonus. Horn has said he will not take a pay cut. Will he be a Saint next year? I dont think the saints will want to pay that much for a #2 WR now with Colston stepping into his place.

Saints need to sign there free agents. Grant, Stinchcomb, Stodemire, and one other I cant remember. We already signed free agent Shanle. Stinchcomb is the only unrestricted free agent. Do we franchise Grant?

Cold Pizza had the NFL Yearbook today on the Saints today. They say the Aaron Ross CB from Texas would be a great fit and he could also be a return specialist. And Florida LB Siler in the 2nd round.

What is yalls take on the Saints next year?

He's gone. No way the Saints keep him if he won't take a cut.

We're a shutdown corner and a great LB away from the SB.

I don't think he's worth 4mil. But it will be interesting to see what happens. It all depends on his health. I think Healthy he is worth it....If he's healthy. He's also been a big part of this franchise and the city the past few years. It will be interesting to see how the fans take it if he is cut.

I love Joe Horn. On a personal level and on a professional level. I have spoken with Joe 10 or 12 times. He is a very very good man and what he's done for this organization is very much appreciated.

I really really hate to say it, but I think the Saints have no choice but to cut ties with Joe. Nothing personal.....just business. I think he is smart enough to realize that and won't harbor any hard feelings against the organization or the fans.

We won't keep him if it comes down to need at WR. Joe is a leader on this team though, the question is how valuable is that to Payton?

Personally, I think we let him go. Hate to see it, but its probably for the best of the team.

I'd love to see us take Siler in the second round if we think he'll be available & we don't pick up a LB in the first.

joe is gone. he's past his prime and last year was a clear enough indication. he would have played if at all possible knowing it was his money year yet still couldnt get on the field. he was the most productive player during the haslett era but his time is over with the saints. he knows it and pretty much stated so at the end of the season.

"I won't be surprised if my agent got a phone call...and they told me I was going in a different direction," Horn, due a $1 million roster bonus in March and 2007 base salary of $4.45 million, said. "I'd clear out my locker, I'd say farewell to the fans here...and I'd put on another helmet.

no way payton pays this dude.

I doubt they franchise Grant. I think he would eat up too much cap space with a franchise tag.
