it says Joe told Juan Kincaide that the team told him he will be released.

Damn. Can't say it's a total shock, but now that it's official it kinda sucks. Gonna miss Joe. He did a lot for us.

say it ain't so joe??!!! i wish him the best. i know that some criticized him but i was a big joe horn fan. he's a warrior and it's a shame his injuries have kept him from being totally effective the past few years.
i hope he catches on with a team that can get him a ring.
    well, besides us :thumb:

Can't say I didn't see this coming, but it kinda rattles me that a deal couldn't get done. I really believe that Joe needed to swallow his pride and realize that at 34 years old, he's not the player he once was and is no longer one of the top receivers in the league. I know that he's done great things for the Saints, but as one of the big leaders on the team, I think he should've set the example for the younger guys by either renegotiating or restructuring.

Either way, I hold no ill will towards him and wish him all the best.

Damn. Was hoping that something could have been worked out and he could have gotten healthy. Joe really was a team player, despite what it might have seemed like. Oh well, all the more reason for Colston to step up his game.

I talked to Micky Loomis a few days ago... Joe will test the market... if he gets what he feels he is worth, he will leave, if not, he will sign back with a cut in pay.

Well that is somewhat reassuring. I know there might be a few teams willing to take a chance on him, but at the same time, I think his demands will be more than teams think he's worth.

I know we all saw this coming, but now that it's official, it's kinda sad.:bncry: I really really liked him on and off the field. He was a super nice guy and I wish him nothing but the very best.

as good as he was for so long after we stole him from KC where he was basically a backup, its the only move they could make. He is a 2nd receiver at best now and likely a 3rd with one half ass year left in the tank. will be good to free up some cheese.

he can return next year once he retires and be some assistant. gonna miss hearing his radio show even though i rarely got to hear it. dude is a character to say the least. cant pay a guy 5 mill for his personality though.

other than nailing roaf's wife, he's been a good representative for new orleans.
