He prefers the NFL. Recruiting and having two receivers lie to his face and go back on their word didn't exactly help change that. Not sure I get how he belongs here. He has every right to move up in life. I wish him well. Carolina is a totally unique situation with massive money, job security, flexibility and the control to hire his own staff. We'll see if he's ready or not. Never know if he ends up back with O sometime. Coaching is circuitous.
He's been an OC and QB coach. He's directly coached the QBs this year. Joe has mentioned him along with E and Brady with helping his development. He's also been doing our QB recruiting. He's been rumored for the Oregon OC job. https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_94520230-076e-11e8-84b5-9f4f58d0e52a.html
Jermaine Burton and Rakim Jarrett. Both 5 star receivers who right up to signing day and even that morning said they were all LSU then signed with Georgia and Maryland. It's why many speculate Aranda aspires to be an NFL DC. He's not a big fan of recruiting either and is likely why he hasn't gotten a big time P5 offer yet to be head coach. Kirby was as strong a recruiter as coach at Bama.. Recruiting is exhausting. Brady did great with the talent he was given but he didn't have to acquire that talent. All our guys were here he just needed to develop them. Didn't have to go get Chase, Terrace, Jets.. His first class he has 4 guys committed and 2 of them pull that stunt. The NFL is all ball. He's a football junkie. Very different jobs.
The Panthers are shit. Can’t believe he would go there. The “w” word comes to mind, but I’ll pass for now.
Well shit.... not going to hate on the dude, his performance this year was magical. Just hope we took a shit ton of notes. Going to be harder to get that qb now.
