I disagree. Brady has evidently agreed not to go to another college as an assistant coach. That is the best we can hope for. I can't see any major school offering him a HC position now or next year. If the NFL comes a callin', there is not enough money to keep him if that's where he wants to wind up.

Nothing has technically been done earlier. This has been agreed to for a while. Think they released this now just to limit distractions with all the NFL rumors swirling. It's been agreed to for a bit and can't be finalized until the board meets which comes later.
If Brady wants to go to the NFL, that can happen anytime. If he wants to be a college HC, then we can keep him at least two and probably three years... next year, then one, maybe two, years as OC. I have no way of knowing, but I'm guessing the NFL is more interesting to him than college... he doesn't have to recruit, and he can run more sophisticated offenses, which he would probably enjoy.
We don't know the specifics. Maybe the contract is loaded with incentives. I hope so if the $1M per year is correct.
