This year has been wild in many ways, but despite all the adversity, the Tigers went 13-0 & have a shot at the title tonight. This has been one of the most talented teams I've ever seen on any college fball team, but the QB position is LSU's weakest link. I think everyone would agree that JL did a great job leading this team to victory up until the bama game. We all know what happened in that game, resulting in JJ taking over the starting role at QB from then on. JJ makes some good throws here & there, & can run the option effectively. His ability to run the option (with Ford) was one of the reasons LSU beat bama in gumpville. However, with 6 wks for Saban & the gump D to prepare, they will no doubt have an answer for the option this time. I'm sure LSU could still have some success running the option for some decent yardage, but I doubt that it will be as effective it was in the 1st meeting.

We all expect this game to be dominated by Defense, & while I think that will be true for the most part, I think this game will come down to which offense, more specifically QB, can make the big throws when it matters. JJ surprised the hell out of me with his MVP performance in the Cotton Bowl last year against A&M (& in the Peach Bowl against GA Tech as a soph) making huge throws down field. All year we've debated the QB debacle, who should be playing more, etc., but it's clear that Miles is going to live & die with JJ at QB. I doubt Lee will see any PT tonight. So JJ has 1 last game to solidify his legacy as an LSU QB. He has the weapons at WR to make plays for him, he just has to get the ball to them. JJ doesn't need to be the MVP, or have a performance like he did against A&M last year (which isn't possible against the gump D), but he will have to make some big throws tonight at opportune times throughout the game for LSU to win. My gut tells me that he will step up & play well enough for the Tigers to win tonight. I really think with the way JJ has shown he can play when he has time to prepare, & with coach Krag & Stud working with him & preparing him for 1 D for 5 wks that he will have success when it matters most.

I hope he stays true to form and blows up the bowl game like he's always done. I expect him to, and also expect HIM to be the difference. Whichever QB has the better day, their team wins.

I really think we win if JJ plays decent. And I don't think this is an unique thought. So I agree that JJ can cement his legacy as Tiger tonight.

Legacy = wins ... Lee got the Tigers to the dance!

The legacy is "I'm f-ing glad this is JL & JJs last game"

Enough of these 2nd tier QBs (weak links)

... we got the best QB coach in America and the best recruits!!!

Future is Mett, Kiel & others ... Future's so bright, gotta wear shades

This. And JJ has always played best when given a lot of time to prepare.

I just want to wish JJ & the entire team the very best of luck tonight! It has been a wild year & maybe when JJ leads the tigers to a victory over Alabama a second time, the little things won't matter so much!

Good luck JJ & GEAUX TIGERS GEAUX!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but you people are out of your friggin' minds. JJ sucks, JJ jas always sucked, JJ will forever suck. He get's lucky but after that shovel pass to Moseley, that should have been it. It was dear in the headlights just like against Penn State. I'm sorry they didn't keep the mfer in jaoil. Thank God JJ and JL are gone, long gone. Don't expect to see them playing on Sundays either.

Well I guess that pretty much solidifies his friggin legacy... a legacy as the worst QB in LSU history!
