If JJ starts on Saturday then I HAVE to believe there is simply something that we don't know that's going on. I mean the kid had 4 total yards of offense against McNeese. Miles can't possibly ignore the difference between the two QB's. If I'm LSU I'd want to have a fast start, something JJ simply won't provide. Now if he receives almost 50% of the drives with the game not out of reach, then I start questioning Miles sanity.
There are worse things in life than losing a football game, I'm not gonna sit around all day and pretend to think I know this team better than the coaches do. Not saying you do, but at this point I'm content with letting the madness unfold without trying to make sense out of it and I make it through my days just fine. We are undefeated, heading into a HUGE game against a division rival...for me, life is good.
I think that's the key difference between sunshine pumpers and what some people call negitigers. Most people would call me a negitiger even though I've praised LSU's special teams, Defense, JLee's QB play, Ridley, The Chief, our Assistant Defensive coaches, our WR coach, our O Line coach, and the guy who made the schedule. The key difference is, I'm not content with letting the madness unfold. Especially BECAUSE we're undefeated. On the verge of a NC run, everything SHOULD be analyzed. Every decision is big. Especially something as important as who's under center. Glaring issues, even on an undefeated team, shouldn't be ignored simply because we're undefeated. Not if we want to stay that way.
Agreed. People stating that they're content with JJ starting b/c we're 7-0 are making a very serious syllogism. We are not 7-0 because JJ has been the starter all year long. In fact, if not for Jarret Lee, we would be nowhere near 7-0. We would be 5-2 at best, and may have even fell to the mighty McNeese last weekend. How this truth still manages to escape some people, our coach included, is beyond me.
There is a difference between truth and possibility. It is possible that with JL never playing that we could be 5-2. It is also possible that with JL starting against Tenn and UF, we could be 5-2. The truth is... we don't know. It is your OPINION that JL starting sooner would have given us better results (which still begs the question "what is better than 7-0?"). It is my opinion that we are 7-0 because JJ has continued to play and JL was brought along slowly and not handed the starting job too early. truth != possibility; // sorry, been doing too much coding today
