" but the fact of the matter is we don't stay undefeated if not for both of our quarterbacks." ------------------------------------------------------ The worst qb in college football handicapping this offense keeps us undefeated? JJ apologetics is insanity.
Does labeling me something I'm not make you feel better? Did you see the first play of the Tennessee game? Didn't Lee throw a pick in the endzone? You were probably screaming for JJ in '08 too. Dude, get over yourself. I'm an LSU fan with no favorites that doesn't dwell on games past.....which we've won. I don't care if TC leads us to a W.
Unfortunately it may take JJ losing a game before Miles will actually pull him. I said it some time ago that until we were at risk of losing a game he wouldn't pull him. Well the UT game was close enough to actually costing us a game. I will say this though, as long as the O is putting up close to or better than 400 yrds/game and winning, I really don't care if Miles wants to go with a 2 QB system.
The mere fact that Lee has now been asked for two consecutive weeks to come in and dig us out of the holes that JJ has created should really dissolve any illusions about this grand scheme somehow being the reason that we're undefeated. I'll say it again: We are winning in spite of JJ's dreadful performance. I honestly don't see how anything could be more obvious than this. As has been stated countless times, the running game is simply more effective with a legitimate passing threat. Run for no gain on first, run for a small gain on second, and having JJ air it out for an incompletion or INT on third and long is NOT the reason our offense has suddenly been productive.
I'll say it again: I don't care who is under center. As long as we are winning. You are not the coach. You don't attend every practice. You don't speak to these men constantly every day. You are just a spectator. You only know what you perceive from watching a game. What is so painfully obvious? Both of these men contributed to our season, have made big plays, and have poured their souls into making this year special. It's time for people to come off their pedestal and support your team, regardless who is playing quarterback. You don't know or see anything that anyone else does, you just choose to put a non-existent problem under a microscope instead of looking at the bigger picture, and that is that we will need both of them this year.
And that appears to be his sole purpose for this offense going forward. Or at least you could argue that point.
That's fine and dandy for your little plan. But that does not appear to be the one we will be employing.
That's a great idea, but JL still needs to get reps in games like this, so that he can get the ,in game, experience for the big games.
Until we lose. And then a lot of people on here are going to be yelling about why the hell we had JJ in the game so much when he was doing absolutely nothing with the offense and the 17 points we scored were with Lee in the game, but it wasn't enough to overcome a 20-17 devastating loss to Auburn. Unless JJ can miraculously turn it around and can actually put points on the board, the inevitable will come to fruition I am afraid. Just be prepared.
