I keep thinking what if jl was MY kid and I have had to watch the last two years as jj has had it all given to him and my kid came in over and over to save his arse and still didn't start. How my kid started this year and brought this team so far and now it's back to the bench. That influences my thoughts more than anything, right or wrong. Jj shouldve been benched last year after florida and lee shouldve started. That has carried over to this year for me and I will never see it any other way.

What if JL starts next week?

RW, we are not in the locker room and don't know what happened. Trust CLM man. We have no idea because this team is so tight knit and nobody is leaking anything. If JL felt like he was getting screwed the last couple of years, he could have easily transferred.

With lee starting lsu has held the ball an average of 12 minutes longer than the other team and scores an average of 38 points.
Western Kentucky had the ball I think it was said eight minutes longer than lsu.
With jj starting this looks and feels like the same exact team as last year. I phucking hate to think this is how it's going to be for the rest of what has been a dream year.

What did JJ do to you?
Blame the D for letting WKU hold the ball for 20 min the first half. Then letting them go 95 yards in the 3rd qtr.
Oh yes blame JJ for the 59 yd TD pass to RR that made the first drive take ohhh what a minute. Maybe if JL had played more in the Alabama game we would have had less TOP from more INTs?
Get a grip man don't let your hate for JJ blind you.
Enjoy the game. Guess what 18-20 yo kids don't make or break our lives.

First of all, we did not pound the ball at WKU. We threw much more often than we normally do (which, I might add, is what many fans complain we don't do enough of against cupcakes). This led to some incompletions that ended drives that ordinarily wouldn't have ended. Case in point, in the second half, we ran it down their throats, and the game wasn't close anymore.

However, that led to a lop-sided time of possession.

Secondly, WKU's offense was staying on the field for large chunks of time. That's on the defense, not on JJ or any QB for LSU, for that matter. FWIW, that kid from WKU is the 3rd leading rusher in the nation, isn't he?

We were sleepwalking through the equivalent of a scrimmage. Les has not lost his mind.

Many fans, on the other hand...

This is a " jj starting thread" on a lsu football board.
None of this is more than entertainment. I wish my life was so easy and simple that this was the only thing I had to worry about.

If you listen to 1210 am, you hear exactly what I've said over and over so I don't feel like the lone ranger on this.

I like the offense more with jl playing most of the game. You may not. You can have your opinion. That's cool.

I didn't derail the thread. I posted an opinion on it. That's what this is for isn't it? I don't hate Jordon Jefferson. I just don't like him as lsu's starting qb and am damn glad he's graduating this year.

This is a jj starting thread. That's exactly what I was talking about. Jj starting the rest of the season.

I don't care for JJ as the starter. We did not look focussed, and at times during the first half we looked downright confused. We reverted back to the meerkat look, which made me almost puke. JJ just is not the leader that JL is, and the team's personality on the field shows that.
