No, Tiger Tap doesn't get it. He never will. You are correct. A loss is a loss.

Seriously, have you read your sig lately?
"Nothing is working in the Barack Obama offense."

Got to love the double standards.

You do realize that this is a quote from Gary Danielson referring to Auburn's lack of offensive production when they played LSU. One of their signs from the sidelines was a picture of our president.

WTT - Well put, I agree it is just like that old adage states "if it ain't broken, don't fix it." Obviously it was not broken "we were 8-0" prior to Bama on Nov 9th and Miles should have been smart enough to figure that out. What we were doing worked "maybe not in the Bama game" but every game prior to it and Miles should have gone back to it after the game. One game does not make a trend!!!! But that is why we pay Miles the amount of money we pay him to make those decisions, he made it and we have to live with it. Was it wrong - well the outcome was wrong so in the end probably so, that is the part that I think pisses so many people off is that WE WILL NEVER REALLY KNOW because Miles did not even give Lee a chance on Jan 9th.

If you can't tell the difference between a sig quote and pointless, inflammatory, off-topic posts in a thread, then there's nothing I can do for you.

You are right. Nothing wrong with bashing a recruit who looks like they were playing games. Attack those aspects of the decision. But the whole "staying close to home/mama" angle is a losing battle and was brought up numerous times in the recruiting thread recently.

    Good point.

A subtle distinction though is that many of us perceive JL as someone who could have averted the debacle and JJ as someone who had a huge hand (second only to Les IMO) in the debacle.

Also, a very strong case can be made that JL was absolutely screwed over by Les and that Les's terrible decision about JL caused us a heaping load of humiliation, wasn't fair, wasn't smart and hurt us in recruiting. So context is important.

And since we are back to this again, let me add that Les's decision to permanently bench JL after the Bama game HAS to go down as one of the biggest coaching blunders not only in LSU history but SEC history. Others may disagree, but I view it as a way bigger Les blunder than the Ole Miss/Tenn clock management adventures. Moreover, Les was clearly stubborn about JL, arguably lied about the situation, and knowingly went against fan sentiment. So Les deserves every ounce of blowback he is getting.

And one of the lessons I hope Les learned from the debacle is "the next time I so willfully buck fan sentiment I better be right...or I'm toast"

Its just not smart to ignore your constituency.

I thought the original post had a probable subtext that at least one LSU fan should respond to, lest it look like the silence on the post was a tacit endorsement of the subtext by TF participants.

But if you are so willing to police the forums for off topic political content, your crusade would be strengthened by avoiding political sigs.
