JL playing would be Miles having to admit he was wrong at picking our qb and I'm not sure he is willing to admit that

He watched Shep every day last year too. Didn't translate into the playing time he needed either.

As for JJ, maybe he's a better "practice player". Miles did have him warm up at one point last week so at least we know he does have a limit. He's a hard-headed bastard.

JJ's issue, to me, has always been that he thinks his way through the game when he needs to play instinctively.

I credit J Lee for that. He made up his mind and let it go. Though it cost us.

JJ cost us in his own way, but it wasn’t game breaking. J Lee’s was.

I can recall that in 2008 vs. 3 different teams, the pic’s cost us the game. In UGA Lee had 3 pics, and as I recall, all 3 of those resulted in 13 points. I think 1 was a pic 6 and the other 2 UGA got FG’s. We ended up losing the game by 14… Lee also had 300 yards passing that game.

I think the D just gave up on him.

This was evident even more so after the int in the Bama game when we were in OT.

JJ is very slow at times, but on certain drives he seems to get into this mode and just makes it happen.. GT game 2008, UGA 2009 some might also consider Bama 2009.

For JJ to turn it around, he has to stop thinking and just let it go. Good or bad, it will let us; LSU and himself know exactly where he stands then.

I am sure J Lee is over the large amount of Pic’s, but I think Miles is scared to be honest..

I feel les should figure out he wants to go with and experiment with the two now because come Oct. 9th-@ gainesville, Oct. 23rd-@ Auburn, Nov. 6th- Bama @ death valley...personally I'd like to have this whole qb dilemma squared away by then

If Perrilloux had had his head on straight and played, Jefferson might have been able to move to a more natural position for him. At 6-5, he could have added 25 pounds and become a fine, athletic tight end. Perhaps a position with NFL potential for him.

He runs like a tight end.

I always thought Perriloux would have been a great linebacker.

The Pick 6 was the first play of the game, a short pass on a left slant....

Similar arguement we were having from 2008, but the starter is who we all begged for back then is now in question.

I said it before and I'll say it again... Play the best player that gives us the best chance to win.

JJ has never played instinctively in my opinion. Miles said in the Advocate this week "it is great to have a veteran back in the line up (speaking of Baker)". He went on to say that you realize veterans instinctively know where to be with out thinking about it and it makes a big difference (paraphrasing a little).

If it is important and makes a big difference to have a weakside linebacker instinctively know where to be on the field, how big a difference would it be to have the most important position on offense know instinctively where to go with the ball and when to go there?

I would rather start every game down 7-0 with a QB who can put 30 points on the board versus a QB than struggles to score points and run an offense and get the ball to the play makers. I have faith in our defense.

I think Lee is going to see significant playing time this weekend, the only way i see that not happening is if LSU and MSU are both scoring at will, and the game is close in the 4th.
