Agree one million percent. Couldn't see from the student section at first what people were booing, thought it was a flag or something. When I realized it was b/c Jefferson came in, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. No, we don't need these people.
I was really po'd at the booing. My ten-year-old daughter said it about the way that T-Bob did, "If you can't cheer for all the Tigers, then don't cheer for the Tigers at all!"
He missed the entire first month of his senior season for a bar fight, not to mention that he lost his starting position. He's suffered enough punishment. But count on our "fans" to punish him some more with boos. Nothing is lowering Coach Miles' integrity. He's a class act.
Yep and Les made sure the fans knew he wasn't pleased with the boos post game and did the exact same thing when Lee was getting the same treatment a couple years back.
Weird, I didn't take it as the fans booing JJ, but the fans booing Miles for pulling Lee out on the redzone. It was a reaction of fear and anger. Anger at taking Lee out and fear that we're gonna go back to a 2 QB system that no one wants.
What? couldn't be more wrong. I was sitting by many of those fans and listening what they were saying in between boos. That may be the cop out excuse they are using now. Very convenient ...
I think the ignorant/classless fans boo'ed because they are afraid of seeing last years' lackluster offense come back with JJ's return. I believe Miles' action isto see how JJ would perform in game situations since he had come on strong during practice this week, and to get his feet wet soon. He knows he would need JJ in later games. I would have loved to see a few passing plays by JJ; but that was prob. held back as he didn't get to have much reps with the WR's. We just have to wait. I hope JJ's skin is thick enough and not let the boo's bother him; he should learn from Lee. Wonder how Lee felt about the fans when he heard the boos for JJ. Lee still has work to do to keep on improving.
It was blatant they were booing JJ, didn't a hear a single boo until JJs foot hit the field... the problem with a lot of Tiger fans are their spoiled... having LSU football in your backyard can make it easy to take for granted, but living 4 hours north like I do, I make the most of every trip down to Tiger Stadium and would never consider booing any LSU athlete.
I agree. People in my section were pissed because they felt is was a slap in the face to Lee. People are going to view it the way they want. We can't retroactively poll the boo-ers so it will never be answered.
Booing ANYone on our team in our home stadium is reprehensible, regardless of the supposed "reason." Hmmm...no wonder our team plays so well on the road.
