I didn't like the timing and I didn't like the reason. We were on the 1 yard line! Any one of us could have sneaked in! The most lead-legged of pocket passers could have snuck in! It wasn't a play to "showcase JJ's superior redzone abilities"....and with it, came confussion; too many men in the huddle and should have been a penalty.

Look, just because I'm vocal about not wanting JJ as the starter, does NOT mean I don't want him on the team nor am I upset because he played/plays. I just don't like rotating QB's in and out for specific, individual plays, let alone alternating drives. His first play in was a perfect example of unneccessary substitution gone bad...we just got lucky to not have been called for it.

Look, I'm happy for the score. But I didn't like the way it happened for reasons listed above. Had he done it with the game already at 21-0? I would have no problem--especially if it were the beginning of playing time in mop-up, ground-game oriented calls to just run down the clock.

There was some boo birds in our section North end zone. It was very classless and our players deserve better. The kid has paid his price lets move on and support ALL of our team.

Les could have handled it a lot better. It made Lee look bad to be pulled on his first drive and it put Jefferson in a bad position. Can you imagine the reaction if Jefferson had failed to score?

If Les had put Jefferson in for a drive after we were up two or three scores, Jefferson would have been cheered. Bad timing, Les.

JJ was inserted in the situation where his skill set is of the biggest benefit to the team, and he got the job done. Les nailed this one.

JJ shut those boo birds up pretty quick. Good for him.

I tend to agree Red. I understand what Miles was doing, and I agree with it, I just think it would have been better later. But Lee looked happy for JJ after the play so Miles may know something I don't - it wouldn't be the first time.

Who would you rather have in the game on 4th and short? The 235 lb. guy with 10 career rushing TDs, or the 200 lb. guy with -166 career rushing yards and 0 career rushing TDs? It's a no brainer, just like how you'd rather have Ware or Ford in the game for that situation instead of say, Jakhari Gore.

But leaving the football reasoning aside, anyone who boos a college player is an ass. The players were pretty vocal after the game that they were pissed about the boos, and rightfully so.

Since when did Les concern himself with the reaction of the crowd? He doesn't give a crap how we think he handles something. He wanted to run a QB sneak so he sent his running QB out there. He wanted the touchdown so he got the touchdown. I don't think he put any more thought into it than that, or gave any consideration as to "what message this would send" because he's not the type to let public opinion dictate his process.

I don't think Jarrett Lee cared either, because he's not a selfish player. With this team and this coach, it's not about who scores or who gets the moment. As Les would say, they share in the enjoyment that comes with the pursuit of victory.

Isn't football a team sport? Do the fans boo when Ford gets a goal line carry after Ware rolls off 45 yards on a drive? Do the fans boo if Randle gets a TD pass when the RBs have done all the work on that drive? Since when do fans give a flip about which Tiger scores? Who is keeping track of whose turn it is to get a TD? All these excuses and alibis for why JJ was booed is bull crap. Some of the fans did a crappy thing yesterday, end of story. There's no justification, no worthy explanation for what happened.. They booed a kid who has been clean for four years, who has practiced and given his all for the team under less than ideal circumstances. If you don't want to be a Tiger fan, pack your bags. I hear a new team is joining the conference; maybe their QB situation will suit you better. All day long the media was highlighting the fact that JJ was booed by the home crowd. What an embarrassment!

I may have my preference at QB but it's not my decision. Whoever is in at QB, RB, RG, Safety, LB, C, P, waterboy,....they have my support. I may scratch my head, I may vent on a internet forum, I may throw things at my TV, but I will never boo a Tiger.

Who said anything about the crowd? I said that Les put Jefferson in a bad position. He has a definite concern for his players.
