I'm becoming convinced that it's Crowton that is the dud. QB struggles seem to follow him.. looking back on it. What are the odds that both Lee and Jefferson showed no progress over the course of their careers thus far?

You know what it might be...he has had this Genius label SHOVED so far up his ass that he feels EVERYONE should just revolve around him and if you cant understand his play calling then you are just a retard!

This about as untrue of a statement as I have ever read. No offense, but we obviously watch different ball games.

the tackles did not even slow the defensive ends down tonight, much less block them.

If Jefferson would step up in the pocket (like a passing QB should) would this be an issue?

    Bingo.

There is no way you can stop any DL on the edge from going to a point 12-15 yards back... it's up to the QB to step up in the pocket and not panic and look up field.

He also have a super duper windup to his throws like Jason Campbell and Aaron Brooks... huge disadvantage from throwing from the pocket.

They are beating the ball to him.

There is no where to step up to most of the time cause the entire defense is blowing through our line.

There was one time tonight that that would have worked. the other 12 it would not.

    This I agree with.

But this is more of a coaching issue.

What... as soon as he was getting pressure from the outside he panics and doesn't know what to do... he kind of looks around. There isn't much pressure up the middle.

It was the same thing as last week. He panics and he has a huge windup.

I told everyone this crap was going to happen.... they wasted the first 4 games of the year in NOT preparing the guy.

    Ok.

Is it the offensive line who let sacks happen with 3 rushers?

Is it JJ who holds on to the ball too long? Though if he threw the ball away on his multiple sacks, then we still end up with 4th down.

Is it the WR who's routes are not crisp and predictable?

Perhaps a combo of all. The coaches need to correct some of this but I think we need to focus on better O and D lines in the next draft (recruiting year) and let JJ mature, if he can.

    IMO it is this..

    1) Jefferson drops WAY far back. Which is fine.. he's got the arm to do so -- but you can't drop that far back and not make a decision.

    2) Offensive line cannot protect Jefferson when he's 8-10 yards behind the LOS. The tackle simply cannot keep the guy off him.. the angle just seems wrong to me.

    3) Jefferson cannot make a split-second decision and is content to take the sack.
