Jefferson is a dual-threat quarterback. Crowton will have to run him to take advantage of this and we can't get too squeamish about the potential for injury. I think Les just wants to get this young quarterback settled and feeling confident in his position before he starts giving Lee a series or experimenting with a true freshman. Lee already has much game time, but Jefferson needs all the reps he can get right now. There is a whole college career ahead of Shepard. When the time is right Les will use him. But it will likely be sparingly at first.
I keep having to spread rep before giving you anymore. 100% agree. JJ just needs to learn when to slide. Ask Hatch how being fearless turns out. :hihi:
On the couple of runs when JJ got cloberred, he seemed to let up and slow down like he was resigned to being tackled, then wham. Either slide or lower your head or CAT scans will be in your near future.
yeah i saw that report before spring. trindon is also weighing 276. shepards calves are the size of a 10 yr olds wrists. he better hope the those cooling fans on the sideline are set on low come saturday.
I saw him recently and he looks like he is in the 220 range. Put it in perspective with JJ who is 3 inches taller and at the same weight. And Lafell who is 2 inches taller close to the same weight. Never saw that report on Trindon.
