He really didn't have much of a choice but to abandon it. Seemed like the only people supporting it were in his own administration. He now has a lower approval rating in Louisiana than Obama does (in Louisiana), which is quite a feat. Unless he turns over a new leaf immediately, he can forget about 2016 because his unpopularity will get a lot of airtime by his opponents.
He's in trouble, if he does. I dam sure won't vote for his ass. I would either vote for the Democratic candidate (depending on HOW liberal he was) or exercise my right NOT to vote. Yes indeed, that is our right, too. Exactly. Two losers.
Bullshit....St Tammany is the worst in Louisiana !!!! and that allows the Sales Taxes to go to the coroner's office.
Are you serious? Jindal is attentive to the public? Maybe that's why his approval rating is so high these days !!!
You skipped over what I said before......"First time in a long while that Jindal has acted like what a politician should be." He's actually been a colossal ass-hat since about year 2 of his first term, but he did the right thing today......which doesn't excuse 4 years of ass-hattiness.
My bad !!! I have been very disappointed in Jindal and not because of his policies. To me it doesn't matter what his viewpoint and position on the issues is because he was duly elected. My beef with the guy is that he has been an absentee governor who has provided zero leadership. Conservative or liberal, I just want a governor to be a leader....you know....to govern. It's laughable that he couldn't get his tax agenda to the table even.
Could this be the start of an actual productive term as Governor? Does Bobby now hunker down and do what he's supposed to do, even if its only because he's read the tea leaves and knows he has to accomplish something if he's going to be a viable candidate is '16?
