Big deal. The game is on a Sunday. I'm fairly certain taking a day or two to support the state's professional football team on the grandest stage of them all isn't going to keep him from anything otherwise important.

Some people just look for reasons to bitch...

 

ahh so the people of Louisiana should be forced to fork over the cash to cover his and his entourage's airfare, hotel fees, food, etc all the while he is forcing the states universities to pink slip hundreds of instructors? All for the good of the state?

 

Well technically it's already been forked over. And I don't think the small (in relative terms) amount it costs to cover all of that makes a difference in the big scheme of things.

 

He is the one telling everyone that they need to tighten their budgets and every little bit counts.

 

Well, I'm sorry but I just can't agree with you. This is an historic moment for New Orleans and the state, whether you like it or not. Of course the governor is going to be there.

And for what it's worth, I still pay Louisiana taxes and it doesn't bother me in the least.

 

Access to exclusive sporting events is pretty much the only reason that I'd ever want to be Governor...

 

Come on, you don't want to pull some sweet trim like Bill Clinton did. That Paula Jones was a looker.

 

The trip was paid for by his campaign funds.
