ding, ding, ding we have a winner. no getting around the fact of what once was is now altogether different. could it have been some other coach and emmert? sure, but it was saban. the question at bama is not if but when. that's not jock sniffin' but reality. doesn't take anything away from CLM, coaches, players, etc. but you can't clain the crystal ball without CNS.
I really have been trying to avoid posting about Saban anymore, but this thread is too much. No doubt the good times rolled for Tiger fans when Saban was at LSU (except for the constant NFL inquiries that as I recall caused a lot of heartburn among fans), but that is history. Until the LSU/Bama game week, I just don’t see any point in the constant posting regarding him. We have a big game this weekend against VT that will tell us a lot about this team. It will not tell us how this team would have done under Saban or any other coach. I did appreciate what Saban accomplished while he was at LSU, however, Les Miles is the LSU Head Coach. Saban is gone and now that he is coaching in the SEC West, he is the enemy – period. ldskule: ldskule:
This cracks me up.. I don't know why but it made me think of Ott as one of the bad guys from the Dick Tracy movie... he could be "Mellon Head Jim" True Story: no one cares. I'd vote Enis, but dude at least has enough sack to whine about getting booted under his own screen name.
Bottomline is my man if Flynn gets hurt, any hope of a national championship is down the tubes and so may be Miles' Michigan dream. The point is, there was no need to run Flynn 12 times against MSU. The reason he ran Flynn 12 times isn't because he wanted to make anyone respect anything. It's because it was the safe thing to do. Just like having Doucet fielding punts and running only 9 plays the ENTIRE game was safe. If you think this is Crowton's offense, then you are delusional. (Sidebar: If Crowton is a "wizard" then I must be an "oracle" cause I knew Holliday was getting the ball everytime he was in the game....pretty obvious)
I don't know who Enis is. I'm guessing another BR radio guy that is somehow worse than the other two? There were some other names mentioned that I don't recognize either. I haven't lived there for a few years, so I'm speaking about how things were around 2003 or so. Although I'm sure very little, if anything, has changed. Do they still have the A/C guy, the motorhome guy, the lawyer and the car salesmen make their daily calls about their businesses...er...i mean, LSU?
That was not I who made those comments just so you know. Also, we have made some changes to the afternoon drive slot on the Score tha tsome of you guys might enjoy. :thumb:
yeah pretty much... If you are playing the Pressbox show drinking game, any time a sponsor calls to talk sports and it ends up being an ad... take a shot
