The obvious choice never won a championship at LSU. Watch it get taken care of this year, the year after 4 first rounders left. I can't WAIT to hear Ott justify that one.

    I hope that's true.

But with Flynn running 12 times on designed runs, we'll have to win that championship with Jarrett Lee at QB.

Anyway, if Miles wins a championship here at LSU it won't be because of his great offensive mind----that defense will have brought him a ring.

Sure it has something to do with Saban. You're suggesting starting JR was a no-brainer. Saban was here JR's first two years and chose to split time with Randall in his second year. So why was it a no-brainer to start JR in '05 and not split time with Flynn? Surely you would agree that Flynn is a better QB than Randall. Lots of people wanted Flynn to start the '05 season.

You're just making it sound like a no-brainer to bash Miles and say any idiot would have done the same. That was my point in bringing up Saban.

You are certainly negative on this thread.

If Coach Miles can be criticized when he loses (which has been rarely), then he should deserve some respect for actually winning more than any LSU coach has ever won in the same time period.

It's no-brainer in that Russell had started games, played in games. Played well in games like the Capital One Bowl. How many games did Flynn play in? None.

So Saban had the choice of a 5th year senior who had experience or a freshman who had none. And Saban still started Russell......so what are you saying exactly. Yes he played Randall but he started Russell too. And....?

So Miles had the choice of Flynn who had never played a lick and Russell who had started games and could throw the ball 75 yards from his knees.

I'm not suggesting it was a no-brainer, I just showed you it was.

that's all I'm saying, he deserves some credit for the wins, and no, not just anyone could have done it.

I'm not negative at all. The guy said Miles has made at least one good decision. I said he hasn't made one decision any other coach wouldn't have made. That's not negative....it's the truth.

This thread was about Ott. I like listening to Ott because he says the same thing I say to myself watching some of Miles' playcalling. And I also said Ott says things that can't be discussed on this board because if you do you are negative.

If saying the truth about what happened at Auburn last year is negative then you just proved my point.

When we whipped Notre Dame, he got his accolades. What do you want? Parades? Statues?
