He would be a good get. But what can LSU offer him that he doesn't already have? Wouldn't LSU be a lateral move, at best?

Tradition, fan support, facilities, recruiting, exposure, title ambitions - all set I'd think.

Money? Maybe, but couldn't FSU match any offers he may get?

So, what am I missing? How does his name keep coming up?

LSU HC is his dream job allegedly. And some ex FSU player banged his wife and ended his marriage. Jimbo feels he belongs in the SEC. Cant say I disagree.

The fans dont want him because hes old hat here and they remember how conservative he was under 2 insanely conservative HC's. He runs more multiple pro sets at FSU than any other coach however.

He often runs the same play from many different formations. The opposite of what we do currently. I learned to appreciate him much more at FSU when I could see his own offense. Id take him in a ny second.

I would love to have Jimbo, but I thought the same thing last year. Name one thing he would have at LSU that he doesn't already have? Just won a National Championship. Getting paid a ton. Total control.

So Jimbo's gonna leave a conference where he has THE program to come to a conference where he has to fight through Saban??

    Sorry. Don't see it.

There were two. One, Taylor Jacobs, of Florida fame. The second was a former tennis player at FSU and also worked with the women's tennis team in Tallahassee.

The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was Jimbo catching his wife with Jacobs.

At least that's the way I remember it falling apart.

Fisher and some of the FSU power's that be haven't seen eye to eye since he was hired. Unless they have worked out there differences in the last few months I'd imagine that tension still exists (likely more tense with the recent loss to 'Ville.)

he was already leaving til fking chose to withdraw the large check.

already explained, LSU is his dream job.

they said upon his new contract that they worked all this stuff out regarding assistants and what not. Im thinking not.

IMO this would not be what we need. Jimbo would be akin to the steele hire, meh. We need to get someone to bring in a fresh air to the program, Jimbo would be like Lysol in a porta potty. Makes the place smell better but if you have another option your taking it. My big concern is we dont start this speculation crap to soon and blow our load way to soon. We don't need everyone one the list having to make their choice now when there is still most of the year to coach and still much to play for, and in some cases possible CFP on the line.

Not a big Jimbo fan lately but he would be a good option.
