Auburn is a nice town to live in. It's one of the fastest growing cities in the state, it has an excellent school system, low crime and has managed to maintain a small town feel while getting bigger by the year. It's less than 2 hours from Atlanta, 45 minutes from Montgomery and an hour or so from Birmingham. And the Muschamps like it here. They had other viable options last season. They chose Auburn over those places not just for the job situation. He's already improved Auburn's defense. It took more than half the season and getting our best defensive player back, but it's already showing fruit, even with an offense that has struggled. And we do have talent, but we have some holes to fill. He'll have us taking another big step forward next season. The yardage stats are about the same, but we've seen much better red zone defense and scoring defense lately. Some comparisons between 2014 and 2015: (team, 2014 points given up, 2015 points given up) Mississippi St - 38, 17 Ole Miss - 31, 27 Georgia 34, 20 Texas A&M 41, 10 Only the LSU game was truly bad this year. You don't have to believe me, but I'm just telling you - if Muschamp is still a DC next year, it will be at Auburn.
Auburn is one of the nicer pastures Ive been. Not near as many cow pattis probably because all the folks carry toilet paper to celebrate things just in case.
It was. But I was under the impression we were speaking of Auburn's defense. But like I say, the defense has been steadily improving, especially here at the end of the season with Lawson's return and other playmakers stepping up to the forefront like Carlton Davis.
Improved your defense? Not according to the ncaa. If you want Muschamp please, please keep him. LSU #35 giving up 350.9 yards per game. Most believe that's not very good. Auburn #83 giving up 417.9 per game, with Bammer coming up. Most believe this is a complete failure & most AU fans want him fired.
Miles was given everything he could possibly dream of until he starter spiraling downward. Top tier facilities, one of the highest paid HC. For years the highest paid assistants in the nation. Your definition of nit picking needs some tweaking.
What I read Jimbo said he liked his job and he sounded a lot like saban before saban left LSU . if that is the case would you want him still ??
