O > Pellini? I'm thinking Pellini > O, except O is a bad-ass recruiter. Maybe worth taking a shot on O at DC if he isn't gone HCing somewhere. Just not sure we'd get the Xs & Os that Pellini could bring. But if we get a repeat of Chief's recruiting, don't matter how firm the DC's smarts is.
O at HC makes me feel like a case of bubbly guts might be rearing its ugly head, but I do really like the guy. I'd think real hard about the DC position, he could be picked up elsewhere if we don't move him up. I wonder if the Syracuse thing was an effort to impose that on our subconscious? Ole Miss HC is an ugly blemish on considering him any higher than an assistant.
I don't think anyone is seriously talking about O as HC. the conversation was about the DC position between O, Pellini and Muschump.
I suggested Pelini for DC last weekend and was lambasted for it. He's still my #1 pick. I want to see some fire in the locker room. Plus, I think he and Coach O would get along very well.
