Didn't he bomb out at UT as well? I'm not trying to be argumentative here either, but it seems his track record ain't all that and a bag of sugar. not sure he's a good fit for LSU DC, I'd rather give it to O then him.
I see your point, sometimes he can be a bit too dramatic. However I've always liked him. I like his fire, chest bumping players, and just being a motivator.
He's a good DC. Lost as f as a hc however. Auburn was a disaster on offense finally so we can relate to how that impacts a defense I'm sure. Plus he has a hot wife even though he looks like he has a missing chromosome or two.
Has he had any real success as a DC since he left LSU--where, let's be honest, Saban was the DC? He failed as a HC, of course, but being a head coach is an entirely different beast, anyway.
Given the way O can get his players behind him, and the level he gets them to play to, coupled with the success he had as interim HC at the condoms... I still think O deserves the shot before we go giving it back to big mouth willie.
I thought he did ok at Texas, but I'd have to go back and look. I would be alright with O as DC, though both of those guys would probably always have their eye on the next job. Plus, Muschamp is getting paid pretty well right now, so O may make better business sense considering the massive amount it's going to take to unseat the current group.
Isn't FSU's defense playing pretty stout right now? Maybe he'll bring his current DC........if he comes.
With the money O would get as a DC from LSU, coupled with his recruiting prowess, and his love and ties for Lousiana, if he was given the DC job I think his eyes for bigger pastures would calm down for quite a while.
