The only problem is that Jimbo is underachieving with what he's got. He has every tool available. We haven't had a decent offense in awhile. Why not? Why can't we be the kind of team that puts up a lot of points? What, exactly, is holding us back? I'm stumped. We have one of the best lines. We have the best receivers. We have an awesome group of running backs. Our QB was one of the most highly recruited in the country the year we got him. What else does a team have to do to be able to produce some damn points?
he has every tool except the one REd metnioned. A QB that can read a basic defense and pull away from center and be sure he has the ball. Instead he has AAron Brooks to work with. :dis: see the bold up there? highly recruited, poorly performed, expectations gone down drain. we keep waiting mr Brooks. He's like Dr. Jekle and Mr. Hyde only it's Mr Brooks and Dr jamarcus. that aint gonna get it. :nope:
nothing, It could get worse, but hey you can always put Mr. Brooks/ Dr. jamarcus back in... I tell you this, back in the day ( circa Cholly mac era ) the MINUTE Jamarcus threw a lame brain fumble or stare down interception bone head play like he did, his a$$ would be riding the pine regardless of how much talent he had. Regardless of win/lose. Miles was too scared to see the big picture, he was too busy learning to call time outs i guess. Coaches need to be brave enough to reward players for good play and bench them for stupidity. hey it worked for fulmer.... amazing concept.. :dis:
i think qb is the least of our worries. I think JR will be just fine and that comes with experience. he's getting that now. ainge has more starts than him. give the kid time. the kid and maybe the coaches? nah. well maybe. im already getting weak.
same bat time same bat channel... this was repeated last year ALOT. I guess we can give him till he graduates if need be. what would really suck is if he stays like this but then learns ball control his first year in the NFL  :nope:
hes a sophomore. he has less starts than ainge who is a true soph but was their starter last year. surely he is inconsistent as many senior qbs are. Yet he also has games of brilliance that many can not match. thats why you give him a year to be the starter. one year is not a lot of time. its the minimum you give a kid. you're completely offbase with jamarcus wanting to swap out qbs already. how can you expect him to improve not even being the starter for more than a couple of games thus far?
It sure is getting old. I just knew he was going to shine this year. I heard so much good stuff during the off-season. I know, I know. It's only the second game. In the SEC there is no time for warming up. Good QB's warm up during the spring and fall practices.
