The linked article suggests he might miss the rest of the season. I'm probably unique in that I've never heard him call a LSU game. http://tigerrag.com/football/jim-ha...er-of-football-season-following-heart-surgery
Maybe too late for you to hear Hawthorne now but I listen to an LSU game on WWL one time when I was in Colorado. Faded in and out some but could hear most of it OK
I grew up listening to Ferguson & Hill. I arrived in CO in 1972. I was able to listen to most games on WWL or a station out of Shreveport.
Wasn't Ferguson the one who said "outtathehuddletheymoove" every time they broke huddle? Whoever that was was the best. He could bring you to the edge of your seat, on the radio. Best of luck to Hawthorne, but I never liked him as an announcer. Hard to tell what was going on.
I don't need you to comment on my manners or to tell me what or how I should post. Best of luck to him, but he was not a good announcer! If you don't like it then don't like it and kiss my ass!
Thanks! I was never an employee actually, except maybe in the military. I think my friends will say I was a pretty good guy. Honest and straightforward and always spoke the truth, or at least my opinion of the truth.
