This is very interesting. Deke Bellevia writes: There is also audio of Drew Brees talking about Chaney here: http://www.wwl.com/print_page.php?contentId=7482490&contentType=4
so a caller to a sports show drops a name and everyone goes crazy talking about it? i think i'll call a few sports shows tomorrow.
No, I've heard his name kicked around. LSUDieHard mentioned him earlier as a possible candidate and it made sense. I did a little searching and found that he's a very viable candidate. Not that it matters, but GG mentioned it either today or yesterday, too. I think it makes sense. First we steal Chavis from Tennessee, now we steal their OC. :hihi: Seriously though, Okie....I see what you are saying. I'm not saying that "I have sources" or "my informants told me...." like some of these d-bags. I'm simply pointing out that this is a very interesting candidate and, quite frankly, one that I think we should hire. That's all.:thumb:
Just throwing this out there...but I dont remember Tenn having a even decent passing game last year....or a QB worth a dayum for that matter. I havent looked at the numbers so I could be wrong.
i know, i just got that from the first paragraph of the article you quoted and started laughing. now. what names should we call in and "tip" to sports shows? :hihi:
In 2009 Tennessee avg. 383.5 ypg which was 60th in the nation (under Kiffin) - LSU avg 304.5 ypg for 112th in the nation. In 2010 UT avg. 363.8 ypg; 75th (under Dooley) - LSU avg. 343.2 ypg; 86th UT has about half the talent as LSU and they were undergoing a coaching changes both years. In 2008, Fulmer's last year and the year before Chaney was hired UT avg 268.8 ypg for 116th..
I guess this is about what I thought...and yes, I do realize the talent is far superior, at this time, in BR. He sounds like a good fit looking at his total body of work (less 2010).
