I watched The Opening or something like that from Oregon on ESPN2 tonight. I read somewhere Brazil was there participating. He wasn't in the final for the 40 yard dash though; I thought that was strange. The fastest time I saw was a 4.45. Most of the guys were running around a 4.5. I was expecting to him to win that event. Anybody know what happened?
Pretty sure that only the top 10 in overall SPARQ rating compete in the finals. Not the top in each event. He ran the fastest time.
He did run the fastest time according to Dandy Don. He ran an electronically timed 4.32. I hope we use him to return kicks in the future.
I hope we only use him to return kicks if he's good at it. I'd rather PP, Mo, or Honey Badger over Trindon any day and Trindon is faster than all of them. If Brazil has elusiveness and understands gap reads, and most importantly, secures the football, put his fast ass out there!
Yeah, speed is worth a lot but catching the ball of course is paramount and moves to make people miss. Trindon H. had obviously great straightline speed. Matthieu can make people look silly trying to tackle him with his cutback moves and can catch the ball...another problem that TH had on occasion. In general though, with guys like Peterson and Matthieu, obviously LSU's return game has been way above average the last few years. Looks like some candidates in recent classes and this one to take over when TM leaves.
