    They would be probably 10-15 games back if Manuel had not come and righted the ship.

    Yes, the team is melting down. I ain't denying that.

    But take the closer off any team with a bad bullpen and make the 'ace' of a staff into a 6.00 ERA pitcher (Pedro) and you'll see a drop-off.

    Manuel is doing the right things.

    He is putting in the right left-handed relievers when left-handed batters are hitting in the 7th innings of games, etc...

    A lot of this is out of his control, imo.

    it's not him that struck out with a runner on third and no one out a few days ago against the Cubs. That was David Wright.

    A lot of baseball can not be managed and imo it's the one true sport where the coach doesn't always make a difference.

    I agree with Clair. Manuel brought them back from the dead. Izzlestull, you would make a hell of an owner. You'd go through 6 or 7 managers/coaches a year.:hihi:
